There is also a chemist, doctors, dentist, schools, hairdressers, a good selection of shops and numerous tapas bars and restaurants where you can sample the local produce and mingle with the friendly locals.

The larger towns of Adra, with a more comprehensive selection of shops can be reached in ten minutes and both Motril and Almeria are only a fifty minute drive away.
